WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY POP
Yesterday while running around town(s) I tuned away from NPR and after a third trip around the dial I ended up at this song. I then opened the window and turned the volume in my CRV up to 25. I’m certain every person that approached me planned on finding a 40 year old woman driving the car and reliving her youth.
Instead, they found a 40 year old woman in the body of a 40 year old man driving the car and reliving his/her youth.

FOR WHAT IT”S WORTH
Thanks to an old friend, effectively a distant but still an older brother by deep familial ties, Sumeet Goel for sharing this song and this post. #iamgrateful and #iamthankful for what music can do when we stop to listen to what we’re listening to. His comment was that it is supremely relevant to our time, whatever side we’re on.
Lyrics. They’re why I’ve always found myself moved to and gravitating toward great folk, great hip hop, great music where the lyrics carry the song regardless of format and version (if a song can stand up to a single voice on an acoustic guitar, it is worth paying attention to in any form … thank you Andy Fox for that eternal lesson.)

Unfortunately, most friendships will leave you but they will still send you a “like”, but they don’t really take time to read your status if they see it’s long. More than half will stop reading here, or have already moved to the next entry in your feed.
I decided to publish this message in support of a very special person for me who had someone very special to them who fought to the end with firmness and energy. Who taught them to live every day as if it were the most beautiful day? Who has filled the world with a beautiful smile and sweet attitude.
Cancer is very invasive and destructive to our body, even after the end of treatment, the body is still struggling with itself trying to reconstruct all the damage caused by radiation. 
It’s a very long process. Please, in honor of a family member or a friend who died, or is still fighting cancer, or even had cancer, but is cured; copy and paste this.
Everyone says, “if you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me, I’ll be there to help you.” So, I’m gonna make a bet that most of those who saw this post (maybe even read all the way to the end) would say that, but not really mean it.
You just have to copy (not share) and paste. I would like to know with whom I can count to take a minute of your day and really read my posts

Bring me … bring me a 25 … that hits you on all senses like this song. Go beat. Go lyrics. Go flow. Go … vid? Yes. The past few months, I’ve felt like i”m 21 again when it comes to music. Old enough to appreciate, but, young enough to not get caught up in the arrogance of opinion and taste and expectation. I mean, Unforgettable is Unforgettable for a reason.

25’s
I’ve been in desperate need of some 25’s recently (quick refresher, a 25 is the optimal sound level to play music in my car, loud enough to drown me out). And I was super happy to stumble upon the following by Portugal, the Man. The NPR version is what introduced me and has me hooked but man, I dig the video too.
