Seriously. #iamgrateful and #iamthankful for where I am today. Everyone has the same opportunities in America. This country was founded on meritocracy. If you are struggling, it’s your fault.
You probably just didn’t try hard enough. Stop living life with your hand out. Bootstrap yourself. There’s no time like the present.
Lots to brew, stew, and chew on these days. Find gratitude. What do I know? Who cares? But…trust some neuroscientists. #iamgrateful and #iamthankful for evidence of what works.
I’m thinking a lot about teams, teamwork, collaboration, and my role on the various professional and personal teams I’ve been on and am currently on. It’s a function of being a year removed from such an amazing experience LiveIntent and onto an equally extraordinary experience Help Scout. The timing, I mean. Today I read a great ESPN article about Pete Carroll, Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson and it took me back to the first time I had heard of Peter Carroll’s Win Forever Pyramid — whic was after I’d heard of the Pyramid of Trust and perhaps my favorite, John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success. http://fromanativeson.com/…/JohnWoodenPyramid-of…
It resonated. Not only the pyramid and its layers and levels, but his definition of success. “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being.”
#iamgrateful and #iamthankful for all this stuff. I love these models and frameworks and ways of thinking. And these are the kinds of things we all know, but we often forget, which therefore benefits from a not infrequent reminder.
